2020 – It’s a Mother’s Day like no other…
Mother's Day
Mother’s Day is a big deal for our family. We have, in the past made it a weekend event, heading off to Hahndorf or the Barossa Valley for 2 days with 8 people in tow. The event commences on Saturday scouring the quaint shops and supporting the locals with our purchases, consuming delicious baked goods for lunch, followed by a delicious meal by the fire in a country pub. Saturday night in our accommodation usually involves card games accompanied by a nightcap and chocolates. Sunday morning! Mother’s day – no cooking for any mums here – we are ushered in to the hotel dining room for yummy piping hot cooked breakfast. Why don’t my hash browns ever taste the same at home?
This year we are forced to find some creative ways to stay in touch with Mum. In the midst of the COVID 19 pandemic we will forego the day’s traditional family visits and lunches. Don’t let a virus hamper your efforts to show your appreciation!
Let Mum know you’re thinking of her…plan to sit down for a meal at the same time but in different homes, linked by FaceTime or Skype. My tribe will have to take up the challenge and attempt to replicate those delicious country pub hash browns.
Send Mum the perfect Mother’s Day Gift this year. BoxSAlicious has a gift for every Mum.
The Coffee drinker would love some Coffee Time Treats like Mahalia coffee coupled with Baylies White Chocolate, ginger and pistachio biscuits and some Fruchocs to finish off.
The Mum who loves a glass of bubbly might enjoy some Bubbles and Berries, Grant Burge Sparkling paired with Strawberry Fruchocs and Quinzi’s Choc Coated Strawberries.
Pamper her with some local skincare – let’s face the “Truth”, she looks great but let’s make sure she maintains that youthful complexion with some fabulous products not tested on animals.
You could brave the shops and hunt for these hard to find items yourself, pay for parking, get wrapping paper, ponder over racks of Mother’s Day cards and come home and put it all together or… call now we’d be delighted to help you.
The best way to show your mum you care this Mother’s Day is by keeping “her safe”. Stay home, stay safe, wash hands for 20 seconds and sanitise regularly, especially after handling online deliveries.
Happy Mother’s Day!
